Industrial Floor Cleaning and Demolition

WAREHOUSE AND INDUSTRIAL FLOOR CLEANING:

Maintaining clean warehouse and industrial floors is important for a number of reasons. Most importantly, a clean floor is a safer floor. Keeping a floor free of dust, dirt, and petroleum fluids will promote a healthier work environment. Safety is greatly improved by reducing the possibility of slip and fall accidents.

Secondly, a clean floor contributes to better employee morale. When employees see that management takes care of their facility they take note. A clean floor reflects light better and brightens the work environment. A brighter workplace is a safer and overall more positive workplace.

Thirdly, a clean floor will enhance your facility’s image. Clean and well maintained floors are often an important marketing tool that will help you covey a commitment to quality in everything you do. Also, clean floors reduce dust and help to avoid dirty boxes and product reaching your customers.

Sensitive machinery, electrics, etc. can also benefit from keeping warehouse and industrial floors clean. Dust collecting on the floor can harm these machines, so keeping them dust-free will help preserve them.

Floor Cleaning

Our Floor Cleaning Equipment

We utilize a fleet of heavy duty ride-on floor scrubbers. Our fleet is manufactured by Tennant Company, the world leader in floor scrubbers. Our equipment is propane powered for a clean burning engine that allows us to operate as long as necessary to complete your projects on time, every time.

Our floor scrubbers offer numerous advantages over conventional pressure washing. Our cleaning solution is carefully blended in an onboard tank and is applied to the floor in a very controlled manner. It is then agitated with dual cylinder brushes. The brushes utilized are carefully matched for each cleaning project according to site conditions and types of coating or seal that may be present. Additionally, our Tennant scrubbers allow us to precisely adjust the pressure of each brush to achieve optimum results for each site condition. After the cleaning solution is agitated it is gathered by a parabolic squeegee and vacuumed into an onboard recovery tank.
Cleaning
We utilize a wide range of environmentally friendly, bio-degradable floor cleaning products. Each is carefully matched to the work environment and type of cleaning required. We have products uniquely suited for food spills, products suited for industrial environments, and for general warehouse environments.

Southeast Sealing, Inc. has over forty years of experience cleaning and maintaining warehouse and industrial floors. Whether you have a one-time cleaning project or if you are looking for a partner in your floor maintenance program we welcome the opportunity to earn your business.

We were winners of the 2018 Georgia Award of Safety Excellence as well as the STEP PLATINUM Award from Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Our crews arrive onsite with the proper safety equipment and skills to complete your project on time and in a safe and responsible manner.

Our Floor Removal Equipment

Floor Removal
Our flooring demolition crews rely on our Blastrac shot blast equipment, ride-on Terminator floor scrapers, Terco diamond grinders, SASE diamond grinders, Diamatic diamond grinders, Hilti diamond grinders, and Edco grinders to efficiently service our customers’ floor removal needs.

We have both high and low voltage electric shot blast equipment as well as propane powered ride on shot blast machines. These are often used in conjunction with our planetary diamond grinding equipment to remove epoxy floor coatings, urethane floor coatings, and concrete seals. The shot blast machines propel steel shot at the concrete floor at a high rate of speed and force. The shot is recaptured by the equipment and dust is collected by extremely powerful HEPA filter vacuum systems. The most effective electric equipment utilizes 480-volt 60-amp 3 phase power. Shot blasting, sometimes called bead blasting or shot peening, is a much more effective and cleaner process than sand blasting.

Shot blasting is rarely the ideal process for solo use when performing flooring demolition. This is because many types of flooring and adhesives such as epoxy coatings, urethane coatings, and tile mastics are somewhat flexible and do not break apart when bead blasted. However, it is often very efficient to use bead blasting in tandem with other equipment. For example, we frequently shot blast urethane and epoxy flooring to loosen the bond. Then we follow this process using diamond grinding machines to remove the epoxy and urethane coatings. We frequently use Innovatechs’ Terminator ride on floor scrapers in conjunction with shot blasting when tackling tough flooring demolition projects such as removal of ceramic tile, hardwood flooring, and difficult to remove glued down carpet.

Our Terminator floor scraping machines are propane powered so our work is not limited by battery life. Our personnel and equipment are prepared to work as long as necessary to complete our projects on time, every time. These powerful ride-on machines hydraulically engage a variety of specialized tools. This lends to the equipment’s versatility. The Terminator utilizes special “teeth” attachments for removing ceramic tile and hardwood flooring. Special “carpet cutters” and “carpet dicers” are used to remove tenaciously bonded carpets and floor mats. A variety of sizes of “metal floor scrapers” are used for VCT removal, thin set removal, and mortar bed removal.

Our extensive fleet of diamond grinders is comprised of a variety of models. This allows us to match the most appropriate equipment for each project. For example, we have small hand held grinders for tight hard to reach areas and edge work. For large areas we have high voltage powered equipment. For intermediate size projects, we have low voltage equipment. The versatility of our diamond grinders is farther enhanced by the expansive range of different tooling and diamond cutters that are interchangeable among the equipment.

Our equipment is safely transported to job sites by a fleet of both dock height straight trucks and dual rear wheel crew cab diesel pickup trucks pulling fifth-wheel trailers with ground level ramps. This provides us the flexibility to easily access any project. Additionally, all of our drivers are D.O.T. certified, having passed physical exams and driving screenings.
